I have to BE relaxed and rested in order to build. When come home from work
it is hard for me to get into the model building mode because I'm mentally
exhuasted and know I need to go to bed at a decent hour. When I am
modelling I tend to get carried away and loose track of time so it is best
avoid during the week. Here lately my weekends have been spent dealing with
spring, i.e. yard work, etc. and my wife and I just had a detached garage
built in our backyard. So I have been pre-occupied with it thus cutting my
model time out alltogether! When I do actaully sit down and build it is in
my own room where I also have my computer, TV, stereo, PS2 and full bath.
Basically my own life-support system execpt for food and beverage. I have
occassionally craked a window open and smoked my pipe while building. Music
is also present....sometimes. I tried modelling during football season last
year; trying to blend 2 good things together, but I found that the football
game/games usually took over. I have not completed a model since
1986........a long hiatus taken have I. I took a crack at a model right
after I got married in '98 but our house was too small and the burden of
cleaning up and unpacking everytime I wanted to model squashed it. I started
to "lurk' in this ng around 2000 and having moved to a bigger home in '99
have slowly tried to get back in. I am about 95% finished with a Tamiya M8
armored car, but it seems that last 5% is dragging.........Oh well, sorry to
ramble folks.
