Well.. I have been away from the hobby for 10 years or so.I had 5 Tamiya
kits sitting in my closet since the late 80's (actually closets as my wife
and I have moved 3 times in the last 10 years). But we have settled and I
even got my own room (wink).
I started lurking in the TL newsgroup last year and since have bought 15
or so kits (and many figures) in the last year to year and a half...
I have started 4 kits and finished one in this year and a half. I find I
tend to do my modelling on a lap type workstation beside my wife on the sofa
listening to the TV.
Can't watch sports (not that my wife will anyway) cuz I get to excited. I
worked on my Maquette Panzer 38t 2 nights this week but it is a frustrating
kit (for me) parts aren't lining up right... This is one thing that peeves
me when building, if the frustration factor get too high the kit collects
dust half built in a box.
I am waiting for my local store to get me the 3.7cm rubio barrel and a
detail set for my 38t. Friday I went out and bought the last FSM (a good
article on Zimmerit), The Tamiya how to build a steel wheeled Tiger and a
panzer 38t reference book.
I am thinking of building the Tamiya Marder III next as I am hoping the
frustration level will be kept to a minimum.
