For some reason I like starting with the turret, then the upper chasis, and finally the lower chasis. I guess I'm just backwards from all the normal modelers. I like building the business end first.

Also, regarding Daniel Dillion's post above, "...the easiest thing to do is... losing parts....you go to cut or shave a small,tiny part and the next thing you know, it goes flying."

I, like everyone else have the same problem. I'm sure I was probably the last to discover these little tricks, but I keep a box top upside down in my lap to catch any parts (large and small) that slip from my grip while cutting them from the tree or while cleaning. I've also dramatically decreased the number of parts shot across the room while cleaning and sanding them, by holding small parts tightly with my bent jaw needle nose pliers. They do wonders compared to the straight needle nose type. I hold the part so that only the portion I'm working on is exposed to the knife or file.
