| I think, as with all things plastic, it depends on how they are made. Most "rubber band" tracks (the ones I have seen) are poorly made. It is nearly impossible to remove flash from them. And as pointed out above the subject is important as well. For example, Shermans, no need for track sag, so band tracks would work well. I have used one of the DML DS band tracks, for the M4A2 Tarawa, they were great. If DML wanted to bring out a full range of them sold seperatly I believe they would sell like hotcakes. But the bottom line (generally) is how well (accuracy as well as manufacture) each individual link is molded, and usually you get better looking links with individual plastic ones, or better yet, resin. IMHO Modelkasten rules, but its sometimes hard to justify a replacement set of tracks that cost more then the whole kit. |
