Adam,
it is a Dilemma, i know. Let me tell you about my discussion with the german importer of Voyager PE. I told him i was not gonna spend 160€ for a Professional PE and Detail set at his shop, when i can get it for 100€ including shipping and customs! He was pissed with me, telling me i was supporting far east economy leaving german economy standing in the rain, hahaha. He, selling far east products is not supporting far east economy?
But what can we modellers do? We (at least most of us) are on a budget with limited funds. If we take our hobby serious, getting actual kits, tools, paints ect. we have to look around, where we find the stuff we need at a reasonable, acceptable price.
Example: Cyber Hobby kits: german retailsers price between 55 and 70€
Self imported price: between 30 and 40€ including shipping and customs, that is serious money for 1 kit.
I am buying a lot of kits, spending a lot of money always checking where to get them. I also buy in the local hobby shop from time to time. I do not know how else to help the LHS but it is my hard earned money and i want maximum goods for it.
