I gave up being an anal retentive, rivet counting, accuracy freak because it was driving me nuts trying to decide what model/version to build. I have no problem with those who build for the glass case room at the Smithsonian Military Miniatures Museum, but for me, a hobby should be fun and not frustrating and full of stress. I build what I think looks good (and coulda happened). I enjoy the "constructive criticisms" that sharp eyed experts point out, there are a lot of details that I never noticed existed, that count when it comes to being "accurate". I learn something new every day.

When you get through with accurate tank parts, ya gotta consider correct paint, weathering, battle damage, wear and tear, decals, etc., etc., etc.

I saw a model in a gallery that I thought was perfect in every way. However, someone pointed out that the model tank was a late 1943 version (in a diorama) and one of the items strapped to the engine deck was something that didn't exist until early 1945. Sooooo, close but no cigar on your model dude, you just lost any chance of getting the Nobel Prize for Modeling!!

Just my 4 cents worth ---- Hey, the increased cost of my opinion is due to the price of gas!
