| Subject: | Re: Revisiting old kits | |

This brings to mind a very simple fix for a decent kit, Italeri's Dodge
Ambulance. This kit has been around for eons under various labels. It's a
fiddly kit (as are all of Italeri's Dodges), far from perfect, but it's the only
Allied WWII ambulance in plastic.
My only real complaint with it: no handles for the doors! What would it cost
Italeri to mold a new sprue, likely 1" x 1", with a few door handles on it?
Clearly with these and other similarly ludicrous flaws (the tracks on Tamiya's
Stuart M5A1), any sense of corporate pride in the quality of their products
plays second fiddle to the easy dollars, yens or liras to be had from reissuing
the same old mistakes.
