Paul,

That's a very good question. I would guess that the major players were about production. Canada I would first guess was part of the Royal Kingdom during World War II but still a separate country. They built a lot for England plus their own troops. The RAM was basically a version of the Sherman though.

Some may say that Japan was a major player at least when it comes to aircraft and naval vessels. Italy I would guess too because they started the North Africa campaign. France actually had a larger armored force in 1940 than Germany did.

How would you answer the question of 'major nation'?
