Yes big time, my buying of kit's is down this summer and what I did buy had to be a real bargin...have to watch the household budget...new vehicle was bought 2 weeks ago...still have private HS costs...everything cost's more, food, gasoline, heat/electric, beer, etc....going out to the movies and dinner less..really watching what we spend and where.
I think model companies will just produce fewer kit's per year and per run of a given kit...having a high asking price to start to re-coupe money laid out quickly...just my 2 cents as it were.
Don't see Tamiya, DML, Acdemy, Italeri having trouble meaning folding, wonder how it will effect as a example Bronco, Trumpeter and Tasca though...will they have to be "bought" by a bigger fish...again just my 2 cents...Mike. |
