thanks for all your comments guys. Looks like it may not be a flyer. I
agree that it will only work itf the manufacturers gets the accuracy almost
100%.

The idea behind the standard kit would aim at the price sensitive end of the
market which is where I expect the bulk of sales would be. This lower cost
ooption is designed to address the compalint Jan-Willem identified

The reason I beleive there would be sufficient demand for the "master"
option of the standard kits is that a core group of modellers do spent a
small fortune on their kits, as evident by the mass of accesory
manufacturers Also by putting a good number of the accessories into one
box would present the item as a "solution", something which does work in
other industries, and a package will alos integrate it into the cheaper main
stream modelling distribution chain while saving the customer the hassle of
tracking down numerous parts mail order.
