i seem to be posting a lot, but i have just read
all the articles posted. At general shows in the UK you
tend to find that the military section gets the most interest
because the vehicles are actually there.
Im surprised at the amount of US equipment in the UK especially
from WW2 era, maybe if some of the vehicle owners took
their vehicles along to school history lessons it might interest
them more, it would be a matter of persauding the owners tho
and I know they wouldnt want masses of kids crawling over their
restored jeep! There must be some comprimise somewhere.
Seeing the stuff in the flesh is much better than the old black and white
footage churned out on history class videos, perhaps a school/s could
organise a trip to their local MV event. I know I would certainly been
impressed by an REO or Jeep or tank etc when I was younger,
thanks,
nick
