I can't answer if that truck was used for that purpose at that time, but I
can say it could've been. . .
Looking through the TMs, the C designates a fuel truck equipped with a water
segregator which was needed for it to handle aviation fuels. The A1 and A2
versions were just engine differences from what I could tell. Any of the
series could have a winch installed - I found nothing that specifically
restricted winchless trucks to a particular role.
