Luckily (???) german Toystores carry model kits, Revell, Italeri, Tamiya,
but the downside is that there are only a few shop dedicated to kit
modelling alone.

Just like some of my first kits did. The barber shop is / was straight
across the street from the drug store and after each time my mom took me to
the barber, I visited the drug store afterwards and got a kit. Still have
the 1/72 Airfix Bristol Blenheim MIB in the basement. Don't think I will
ever start it, it will serve a as a reminder of the easier (???) days as a
child.

Still don't know how as a child I could make out the different tank versions
without reference materials. I bought some airplane mags, but tank magazines
weren't available at the regular newsstand.

Just my 0,02 Eurocent
