I love the Type 1, I have seen it before and printed it out for future
reference! BTW, I had heard somewhere the whole chipping technique started
with some Japanese modelers before some of the Europeans took it up?
With this discussion in mind, I am curious what you think and if you have
any comments/suggestions on one of my works?:

'chipping' I did was a little graphite on the hatches where the crew would
always grab, everything else is pretty much 'dirt.' I agree on the
unrealistic 'realistic' chipping effect on many models, though some done by
the masters are incredibly good looking. One of these days I would like to
try it, but I think I will do it on a winter whitewash or Afrika Korps
field-painted scheme...
