| Subject: | Re: How to make decals? | |

Hi Tim,
From my aircraft days (OK, I still indulge in the dark side), the decal
papers always had a carrier covering the whole sheet. I would use a laser
printer to make the copies and then coat with MicroScale's liquid decal
film.
Now, I have noticed that there is a spray for the inkjet decals from
MicroMark. Please note that inkjet inks are not dry and are water soluble.
To test, take a printout and soak in water (this would simulate the liquid
decal film on it without wasting it). It may run ruining your decals.
Perhaps the best way is to get the MicroMark setup.
I now have access to a color laserjet which I plan to use. Nothing from my
Epson 740 inkjet was ever usable for decals as they would smudge on the
decal paper (the ink would not absorb) and the liquid decal film made it
worse.
Hope this is of some help.

PS- Let me know if it works as I have a lot of ammo that needs markings! |
