Not to stumble all up and down on myself to defend them, but are you
sure it was something you said that got you booted, or did they just
block the IP address range? Network54 has some goofy feature that lets
the admin(s) of the newsgroups block IP addresses. Since dial-up modem
connections are still the overwhelming majority of Internet traffic for
us commoners, and you get a new one each time you dial-up but in the
same "range" as the last ones you used, the blocking is set on a range
of IP addresses instead of specific ones.

Again not clamoring for your head or putting up body armor for them by
any means but it might have been someone else on your ISP that did some
shenanigans and summarily got you tossed by virtue of "sharing" the IP
range. Or you may have pissed someone off vicariously (if possible??)
and they blocked you. If the latter, then shame on them for not allowing
open discussion, and I'd be disappointed, to be frank...but I'm Steve
and that's not important right now. Being somewhat of an optimist,
though, I hope for the former.
