Gotta love the "damaged moulds" or "destroyed moulds" cop out. When they
don't know, most of the questions you'll ask for some insight, they'll give
an excuse they know the customer has no hope of verifying.
Another favourite excuse is the "exchange rate" when I ask why Tamiya prices
are getting so damn insane in Canada. Never mind that USD -> CAD exhange
hasn't change enough to account for a 40-50% increase (GP500 bike used to be
$32.99 and is now $48.99) . And the CAD -> Yen has actually gone in Canada's
favour over the last several months and is just now back to where is was
about a year ago.
