I rarely use them. The kit parts require a little work, but frankly, unless the
kit part is horrible, I just don't see the difference in most built up kits.
Having said that, I had a bear of a time with the Pz III J barrel on my current
project. I attempted assembly last night, and the kit barrel was bent. I
straightened it (sort of). Too much work on the barrel, and it snapped in half.
I glued it together, and we'll see if I'm in the market for a barrel later
today!!
