Depends on the book.
The one by Bryan Perret on German WWII armor (251, PZ IV, PZ III etc)
essentially have the same text and 6 of the 8 pages of color plates are the
same, but new scale plans and new cut away diagrams. I would get the new
NV ones and not the old ones if I had the choice. The ones on the
Jagdpanzer, PZ III and IV by Perret aren't the best books in this series in
my opinion, as the content is rather dated compared to newer publications.
The NV titles on the Tigers I & II by Jentz and Doyle are very different to
the old Vanguard ones by different authors. The NV titles are good value
being a concise version of Jentz's $50 hardbacks on the same titles.
The US armor titles by Zaloga which appear in both series appear to me to be
different atleast in the photos and artwork and some of the chapter headings
when having a quick browse, but I haven't compared the text. May be some
one else can elaborate more.
Cheers
