Subject:  Acquiring missing kit parts. Help needed.List thread.

Hi all,

I have been having a recent problem acquiring parts that were missing from a
kit. A few months back, in about July or August, I opened a kit, DML's
PzbefWg Panther Ausf G, kit #9046, to begin construction.

I found an entire parts sprue was missing in addition to the decal sheet
being the incorrect sheet for the kit. I contacted DML and they said they
would send the parts. After receiving no parts, I contacted DML again in
Sept/Oct. I gave them all the information again and they said the parts
hadn't been sent but would be shipped. I still have not received anything so
I emailed DML again earlier this week.

Today I received an email back from DML telling me the parts had not been
shipped. This is an excerpt:

"According to our production department, the model kit #9046 are out of
stock and no longer to be obtained. We are very very sorry about that. We
cannot help anymore but we still hope that you can get it from the
retailers."

So now I am stuck with a kit without an entire sprue of necessary parts, I
believe it was sprue "F" containing parts for the running gear. I don't
necessarily want to buy a new kit either.

Does anyone have any suggestions on any way to obtain the parts? Or would
the best course of option be to relegate the entire kit to the spares box or
for a conversion project? Does anyone need the majority of a Panther kit?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

Landon
