This is a huge problem in the orient, my friend. Intellectual Property (the legal term) really has no standing in China. In fact, you can buy just about any DVD for 5 bucks right off the street. It is also a huge problem in countries like Mexico, and, frankly, any developing nation that doesn't have an engrained artistic culture of it's own. An unforseen problem of this dillema is that it degrades the Intellectual Property rights in those countries where the things were originated. Its kind of like Gang Rap music. Parodies, remixes, and rippoff, etc became popular in Gang rap in the early 90's. This has effected the entire music and entertainment industry into becoming sort of cheap and callous at its core. I for one never downloaded from Napstar and never used WAREZ computer software so now that the air is clearing and copyright protection/encryption gets better I dont feel bad. The whole "big brother" attitude has, frankly, crossed the line in many aspects. Bieng an older American compared to the youth (I am 29, LOL old man!!), I see these young girls in their hondas driving around with 50 CD's on the visor and in the dash. I bet half to 80 percent of those are bootleg. Makes you wonder what kind of people they are.
