Peter,
I just picked up GI Combat. It is fun to play but a little work to aquire the skills to use it. Basically it is Close Combat meets Combat Mission and it was designed by the close combat team. The game is played in real time not turn based like Combat Mission. No matter what they say Combat Mission is turned based because the game stops the players make decisions and the game continues. In GI Combat you play like CLose Combat the game never stops but you can get right down on the ground like in Combat Mission. This way you can see what your troops see. Like I said it takes a little getting used too but it is fun. They have already put a patch out for some early problems so the programmers have not just dumped it on us. And there is also a tree upgrade patch. Check it out at www.GICOMBAT.com
