Well. . . It only has fuel cans, not the water cans, it has scale sketches
rather than dimensioned drawings, it's a secondary rather than a primary
source, and the sketches are copyrighted to either Airfix or Arthur North.
Besides, the information is a little squishy. On one hand, it says that all
cans for the ETO were made in the UK, as well stating that no American
pattern cans were made in the UK. That leads me to wonder how all those
American pattern cans ended up in the ETO. . . He also makes the statement
that both the German cans and British copies were indistinguishable because
they were unmarked. However I have seen cans and photos of cans with
"Deutsches Wehrmacht" embossed on the side, and I'm pretty sure I saw one
with a British WD mark. I seriously doubt that the British were any less
hesitant about stamping the Broad Arrow on their equipment than we were
about marking every non-living thing in reach with "U.S."
