Yet another suggestion:
I bought the Olympus Camedia C3040 at the suggestion of Jim Hensley. He
uses his to take the pictures that you can see of his models in MMiR so I
figured that it can't be all bad. I have been very happy with the camera
and have no complaints.
Regardless of what camera you choose, I would highly suggest using something
such as www.pricegrabber.com to find a good deal once you have settled on a
model to buy. With this sight you can find the best prices available and
get a run-down of the different vendors to make an educated decision on
where to buy from. This is the site I used when buying my camera and ended
up getting the camera shipped to me in only 3 days and spent about $150 USD
less than I would have paid if I had gone to Best Buy.
