Not armor, but family history.

My aunt presented me with the bullet my grandfather was wounded by in WW1. He had always intended to make a watch fob with it for his gold watch. Since I have the watch, she brought me the bullet.

He was wounded and gassed in the last major push of WW1. He had been in France for 11 days when he was wounded. He was diving for cover and the bullet entered just above the right hip, exited in the upper right chest and then went into his triceps wher it logded. When he hit the ground his gas mask came loose and he got several breaths of mustard gas before a buddy got the mask back on him.

He survived until 1954 and the gas damage to his lungs finally caught up with him.

Pa-paw was a bood ole boy from the hollers
of Kentucky and made the best shine in his area.

It was a good Christmas because I sat at my desk and brought out all the old pics and memories of my time with him.
