Subject:  Re: Tamiya's new items announced at NurnbergList thread.

The Tiger I late with crew was released months ago. I reviewed it in Boresight
at that time.

The Field Kitchen is an older product with new figures, but apparently without
the two horses it originally imcluded.

Obviously the Marder is all-new and long awaited by German armor fans. Having
a state-of-the-art 38(t) chasis opens up lots of possible variations which I
hope Tamiya will eventually follow-up on. But if the Wespe is any indicator
(where's the Pzkpw. II?) we may wait a long time!

Note that the Jagdpanzer 38(t) shares very little in the way of external
componants with the 38(t) tank chassis. It's sort of like the rumored DUKW
which was supposed to follow after the CCKW: they share lots of engine and
drive train components but except for the steering wheel, jerry can and
pioneer tools, externally they are completely different.

They also showed a 120 mm scale VW Kubel Afrika Korps static kit with Rommel
and a driver figure, a combination of two previous releases.

Does anyone know what else, from other companies, may have been shown?

Frank
