| Subject: | Pz IV F1 part 2 | |

Rereading my post above, I wasn't very clear about the hull and suspension.
The DML Panzer IV series hulls were made to be used for both early and late war hulls with either 3 or 4 return rollers.
To do this, the return roller mounts were left separate and there were raised lines for placement for the mounts and the fuel filler caps.
Unfortunately, the mold maker put the placement marks in the wrong places.
This kit has the revised hull with improved detail, correct placement marks and an improved bogie truck mounting system.
A few other tweaks:
The individual track links are nice, but have the solid guide horns rather than the hollow horns of the early Pz IV's. Leave 'em be, drill them out, or go Aftermarket.
The weld bead detail can be improved around the turret and hull with melted sprue or pyrogravure.
The access doors for the brake/transmission can do with a little deepening with a needle or similar scribing tool.
The front and back fender flaps, like on most kits, look better replaced with thinner card or PE, or a really intense thinning.
hth,
