Hi CS,
I think he may be referring to companies casting copies with no apparent
changes done to them. For example, Warriors makes a set of 'damaged' Marder
III (r) wheels which are exact copies of the Tamiya kit wheels with chunks
cut out. Armor sells a sets of wheels which are identical to the styrene
wheels included in the Maquette/Alan Panzer 38 (t) series (also sold
separately as an accessory). However, I find no changes have been made to
the wheels.
This last example left me baffled since the plastic wheels are available, I
can't see the reason behind releasing a resin set without any changes. Oh
well...
