| Subject: | Re: Advice for gluing down vinyl tank tracks? | |

Hi
the method i'm using is a variation
of whats featured in the japanese modelling mags
1. I put on the vinyl tracks gluing/stapling the
ends but leaving the track free to run.
2. i use wadded up tissue paper to shape the track
sag by stuffing the space between the sponson/fender
and the track.
3. Apply super glue to the parts of the track in contact with the road wheels.
4 I also apply super glue to the track itself on the inside face of the tracks nearest the tank body. when the glue drys it helps hold the sag.
5. As super glue drys the fumes could leave white streaks. So use an accelerator or leave the tank in a position where the fumes rise vertically.
6. better to do one track at a time. |
