I would like to hear what people think about the colour of AFV exhaust pipes. When I view peoples models they are practically all depicted as rusty orange. Considering the typical mileage and lifespan of a WWII AFV would it be expected that the exhaust pipes would age that quickly? I haven't studied colour WWII photos closely enough to know one way or the other, but I'm a touch sceptical.
Thoughts anyone?
