Hi Andrew
Good idea, but a lot of cars have stainless steel exhausts...
I have one ten year old Tercel (rusty looking exhaust, but very dark brown color) and a 2000 Mazda Protege. The end of the exhaust is dirty brown color, and the muffler is still somewhat shiny metallic.
I wonder how different the materials are that are being used now (weight being a major concern).
Like most model stuff, I'm sure the rusted muffler 'rule' is misapplied. And Bright oxidized rusted mufflers are unlikely.
Anyone serving/served with armor recently who can help out?
