Hi Tim,

Wow, the enthusiasm! If you are really a complete beginner, don't assume
that an OOTB build will be "meaningless". It's still fun and it will develop
the basic skills you need besides ... we have all seen some beautiful builds
OOTB, and if you choose some of the latest releases from Dragon or Tamiya
they scarcely require P/E anyway.

And let's not forget the painting/finishing skills. Build some nice kits
OOTB and practice/perfect your finishing skills. It would be so frustrating
to load down something with expensive accessories and then muck up the paint
job, don't you agree?

As for the various accessories why not just check out track-links and other
web sites "reviews" section? Information about product quality is easy to
come by. But since you are looking for recommendations, I recommend you
spend some of that money you are so determined to spend on p/e on some
quality reference books. You say they are "too expensive" but you can often
get a decent book for the price of a single one of Aber's insane sets ...

I think you are looking for shortcuts to being the "best". There are none.
You need to practice the skills, build the reference library .... have fun
and happy modeling!

Regards,
David

handle to build a kit out of the box and it is too easy and meaningless for
me.so i want to start to add PE and other accesorries such as tracks and
barrels and interiors to build a high quality of AFV.As i am lack of
experience on buying accesorries and the skills to do with it so i hope
someone can help me on this so that i can follow the suggestions on net as
it is too exspensive to buy books to do on my kit and it helps me to gain
experience. That is why i always want someone to tell me the thing they
reccomand first so that i can do it more times before choose it myself and
gain experience.
