I've really gotten into painting figures more than building armor lately, but
today I had a spare hour, and I felt the need to build rather than paint. I
got out my Academy Honey kit started many moons ago. I completed a rudimentary
hull interior, and I had a driver figure started. This was my first kit with
interior, and I'd overcome the many inaccuracies with the supplied interior.
When fitting my driver I realized there is NO WAY that a 1/35 scale figure can
fit in the driver's position without serious modification of the seats and the
driver. I lopped off an arm, a leg (on the driver) and there is still no way
he'll fit. The complete lack of detail on the walls of the hull (like where
the viewing ports to the left and right should be) finally did me in. I put
the kit away (forever?), and started the Tamiya Cromwell.

We'll see if I ever get back to the Honey, but for a kit with an interior it
is pretty pathetic; and the vision I had of a nicely opened up Honey with crew
in place will not be realized...

Sigh
The Crommy is nice though!

Andy
