Here's a quick overview of my own approach to resin kits/conversions.
Not every kit you purchase will wind up in the buildable category, however today"s resin kits are a vast improvement over what was available just a few years ago.
Be prepared to ask questions of your fellow modellers as they can be a valuable resource when it comes to learning the ins and outs of resin builds. Everything I build invloves resin to a great extent but I also have failed to realise that others may not be so inclined and therefore not as at ease with resin products.
Instructions are improving all the time, yet always be prepared to have as many references as possible available. Careful study and repeated reviews of the instructions before you begin will help aleviate future problems during the build up.
Caveat Emptor/buyer beware! Be sure and keep up with the reviews posted at the many fine armour sites available as they tend to be up front and straight forward in the opinions given. I asked a friend of mine who does build ups for a nationally known armour magazine why he wasn't more critical in his articles on the resin kits he does. His response was "These guys are friends of mine" Hence his reluctance to bite the hand that feeds him.
By their very nature resin items are a horse of a different color. Once you appreciate this a good deal of the battle is over. Careful preparation and handling will go a long way towards a pleasant finished product. If time is a factor in your building kits, keep it simple when it comes to resin.

Pull up the post 45 section and you can see a couple of examples of resin builds, a Challenger ARRV and a Centurion AVRE, both of these items being from Accurate Armour.
