You might find some info reading Chapter IV of TM-E- 30-451
Handbook of the German Forces
Try
http://www.carlisle.army.mil/cgi-bin/usamhi/DL/showdoc.pl?docnum=352
I experienced difficulty opening this page but let it down load for a
while then stopped it and hit refresh page and got the PDF file associated
with this page. Probably system fault with my computer but added info
incase it is something else.It is a large file 40+ MB for part two alone.
Main page for all three portions of the book is
http://carlisle-www.army.mil/usamhi/DL/chron.htm
they have it listed under TM 30-410
