My Mom always told me "If you can't say it nicely, then don't say
it". I think that politeness is something we must strive for. There
are two reasons for this.

The main point of this type of forum is information exchange. If we
can't pass on information, what use is the forum, self congratulation?
Ergo, we must pass on information, but we must be polite about it or the
flow of information will stop.

Also, it is a good thing to be polite just for the sake of being
polite. Not too long ago people used to go into fields early in the
morning with pistols and shoot at one another because of statements less
inflammatory than some I have seen flying around electronically.

I think something nice can always be said about even the worst built
kit. My Dad always managed to do this as well as offer constructive
comments. I try to do the same with my kids.
