Actually NetWin Software are evil. You can blame them for this as they wanted me to pay for an upgrade licence for the news server. I told them "...***** you guys, I'll write my own". I am half way there now, I moved the messages and created the threading engine and the web part, now I just have to write a little NNTP server layer to listen to port 119 for us (I like news readers better too) NNTP users.
