How's that? Notice the latest new topic or reply to a topic gets pushed to the top of the list for the particular forum. The correct date and number of new replies is added too.
It's a bit slow now because it is generated on the fly. I can fix that though. These dates are server time which is PST, it may be a bit confusing to people who live outside the timezone. I don't know if there is an efficient way of showing your local time.
