I still don't understand how this will help. I need to do something as people are continually clicking on the last "reply" button at the bottom of the page thinking that is where the next message is supposed to go. I blame these flat forums popular now (like on armorama) for lowering the expectations of users.

This problem almost negates the possiblity of using a news-reader again as the messages will be all out of context. So I guess you have a choice to make, either the "view thread" or news reader.

Also the "reviews" topic expanded view page was 140K (including Brandon's image!) This expaned view page was viewed several times a day by 3000 people. I am not looking forward to my bandwidth next bill. Consider that the regular threaded view is only 20K and whatever per message.

If you guys want this expand thread view yet want me to continue to support this site then you better start clicking on the Google ads that appear. Remember I am still very much paying for your fun here and these Google ads help. Note that I had them up for a trail a couple of weeks ago and the click through rate was 0.1% which was pathetic! Google expects a rate of 5%... sort of makes me think the people using this site just want a free ride :-) The Google Ads the the ones that say "Ads by Google" at the bottom (there is a 1 in 20 chance that they will apear instead of one of the graphical banners) - when they do appear, please click on the Google Ads!

Paul.
