Trying for perfection cost me the enjoyment of the hobby.
Today I simply try to make a decent replica of a vehicle in a miniature scale. If it looks like the photo, that's what acceptable to me. 95% of the people who will see it would not know one mark from another, 3% don't care, and I'm not losing sleep, nor am I out to impress the remaining 2 %.
I'm too old to count rivets, and too blind to measure in microns.
Does it look like a fair representation of said vehicle or doesn't it? Is it a good, clean build free of building defects or is everything crooked? Does it have a presentable finish, or are there glue smears and looks like it went for a dip in a bucket of paint? Is it representing the environment it's displayed in? These are the questions I ask myself, not if every nut and bolt in scale.
