Yeah, I agree the Dragon Karl is not thier best. And there is nothing wrong with saying so. With the Trumpeter release people will have a choice. There are some people that will be happy with the less expensive, simpler Dragon kit, and then there are people that will want the Trumpeter offering.

What is silly now is the glut of Tiger I kits (and I build German stuff). Tamiya's versions are good, solid kits, if not a bit dated (these were the first really new, non motorized tanks from Tamiya in the 80s). The Italeri kits are passable, and so are Academy's offerings. Now Dragon and AFV Club are adding Tiger I's. Likewise, Tamiya is doing a new kit in 1/48 (which is great) but then so now are AFV Club/Skybow. Why not have one company do a Tiger I and the other a Tiger II or Panther or something different but still popular.
