Is this actually true? Or is this a long-standing myth? I would like to see some statistics from hobby shops and mail order firms from around the world. If so then by what percent: 10%, 100%, 1000%...?

I'd also like to see a list of all the new injection moulded styrene kits produced going back a few years.

You could take a proactive approach and use this site to get more people interested in Allied armour. For example, start some Sherman topics. Compliment the Allied tank models (such as: http://www.track-link.net/gallery/3047) maybe that will inspire Victor to build another. Answer the Allied tanks questions ( There's three here: http://www.track-link.net/forum/research_ww2 )

At least Dragon will see more people talking about Allied kits in a productive manner (as opposed to complaining about them). And I know that they study this site closely each day (evidence from my server log files).

Paul.
