Subject:  New Trumpeter A-10 *anti-tank* "air-thingy" question... .List thread.

 Date:  Mar 11, 2001
 From:
Hello TL'ers,

** WARNING!!! This is blasphemy to the extreme for AFV enthusiasts like us!
**

I am planning to get the new A-10 air-thing. At 1/32 scale and since it is
predominantly involved in *anti-tank* warfare, would one classify it as
armor or an "air-thingy"?

After all, 1/35 helicopters released by Academy were found in the tank
section of my local hobby stores. And I was thinking since the A-10 is
heavily armored, and it packs a big gun - not to mention the scale 1/32,
bigger than most tank kits out there... . =^)

Actually, could someone comment on this kit? It is from China, and the
previous armor releases feature alot of toy-like features. Has anyone broken
their sacred vows and modelled one of these monsters? Anywhere I can get a
review of this kit (without venturing into - gasp - model aircraft sites)?

Thanks alot, I know this is sort of off-topic... . ;^)

Sincerely,
-=Yc. Wang=-
