setting aside the historical and philosophical debates I think one of the most important allied tanks is the Sherman Firefly.

the Firefly was the first allied tank that had firepower on par with the German 7.5cm and 8.8cm equipped gun tanks and was a highly sought after target by german tanks and AT guns for its ability to pierce the thick frontal armor on Panthers, Tiger Is and probably even Konig Tigers.
