A tough year with some excellent kits released, I discounted many Modern subjects as these were often re-hashes of earlier kits to jump on the OIF bandwagon.

But to just pick one, my vote would go to the Trumpeter 1:35 Mörser Karl-Gerät 040/041 on railway transport carrier (kit 00208 or 00209).

The level and attention to details is oustanding and not compromised by the overal size of the kit. The options of alterate 54cm or 60cm barrels, alternate suspension position and highly detailed rail transports thrown in puts this above some other excellent releases.
