Depending on other purposes, what else you are going to use with the camera, most of digital cameras from famouse manufactures are good enough for taking model pictures. What you need to consider are
1) Effective Pixels - the bigger the better. For internet posting, 3 to 4 MPixel should be engough.
2) Macro Focus Range - the smaller the closer you can take pictures of models.
3) White Blancing - this is important if you don't have a photo editor to adjust the colours of picture.
