I suggest a digital camera with 5x optical zoom or better.
The one I have has 8x optical & 7x digital. The optical zoom
number is important for how close you can get to the model
(in the picture) Mega pixels is the quality of the picture.
Digital zoom takes a portion of the optical and focuses on it.
Ex - side view of tank (optical) - side view of wheel on tank
(digital).
5 mega pixel will give you clear 8 x 10 photo.
Bottom line - only for modeling? I use mine for all sorts of photos.
Outdoors, indoors, nature plus modeling. Mine is a HP but there
are a lot of good cameras. Mega pixels / optical zoom / other uses
are considerations. |
