I'd think scanning the sprue directly would work well to at least start Photoshopping the file size down from a best possible original, with no appreciable focus differences from shallow depth of field since most sprue originals would tend to be more or less flat.
Linking out to a good picture on another server would work too, although only if there were reliable good sprue pix on (probably) the manufacturers site. Some stuff would still have to be scanned or whatever.
Count me in with the sprue scan people. I tend to read illustrated reviews more closely than pure text ones. |
