Most model shows have a specific set of rules that the judges have to use when evaluating the model. Myself, I subscribe to the AMPS way of judging a model.
Now me as just John Doe just walking around a show, my judging rules would be far different than what the actual judges use. Most likely if it doesnt hit most of the following areas, I wont be taking a photo of it and moving on: Eyecatching, interesting, unusual (ie sherman/tigers are almost guarenteed no place on my camera unless they truley work hard at capturing my attention), build done well, no general defects that jump out at you, vs looking for them. |
