the times for modelers are incredible.
when I stopped 20 years ago, still a teenager I might add, there was no internet. so I had to depend on my local dealer. which was great, because they had a huge selection of models. Today, they offer like a third of what they had 20 years ago. kids do not build models anymore, especially tank kits. People I see around the tanks are normally in my age or older!

I can't order most of the stuff in my local hobby shop. well I can, but I'll wait like 3 months or even more for PEs. There are no importers for such things in Switzerland. Even the Dragon catalogue features maybe 1/4 of what I can get over the internet with internet dealers. So the times are incredible. As an avid tank destroyer builder I can get nearly everything. and all the PE's, the barrels, it's just a great time (oh well the money!). With companies like Dragon, Trumpeter, Bronco, AFV a lot is going on. 20 years ago I only bought Tamiya. This has changed a lot!

Very nice topic Paul, but now I feel old!

Philippe
